Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz (MBOSC) hosts the Santa Cruz Old Cabin Classic at Wilder Ranch State Park each May. This cross country race is a throwback to the early days of mountain bike racing, a celebration of the sport, and a benefit for our local trails.

Each year, Old Cabin gives racers and spectators the opportunity to do more with their dollar. A vast majority of proceeds generated from Old Cabin go straight into a fund used to develop and maintain trails throughout Wilder and across Santa Cruz County.

The event is a homage to this iconic venue and a testament to the partnership between California State Parks and the mountain bike community who are working together to make our local trails the best they can be.

New this year, Old Cabin will host a hand-built bicycle expo, as well as new spectator viewing locations and an expanded artisan showcase.

Old Cabin Classic is a green event!

Disposable cups are not available for beverages onsite. Bring your own cup to the event, or purchase an MBOSC stainless steel pint for $10 (plus, it comes with a free beer)! Coffee is also FREE all day if you have a reusable cup.

All vendors at OCC must comply with the City of Santa Cruz's waste ordinance, and we are encouraging each to use compostable dishware or serve food that can be eaten without dishware.

OCC features food waste bins in addition to trash and recycling. Our trash collector, Greenwaste, is able to compost food waste, including compostable dishware!
